Who is Firefly?

What are the basic rental conditions?
A valid driver's license issued in the country of residence MUST be presented at the time of rental and is at least one year old. If your driver's license is not in English, an international driver's license may be required.
Driver's license changes for UK customers.
As of 8 June 2015, the paper equivalent of a UK photo driving license is no longer valid and is no longer issued by the DVLA.For rentals in Croatia or Slovenia, all drivers holding a United Kingdom (UK) license must provide a driver's license statement showing eligibility to drive. This also applies to holders of paper driving licenses issued before 1998.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major European credit cards with the VISA/MASTERCARD/EUROCARD/AMEX logo. Firefly Italy accepts Visa and Mastercard debit cards for Group B and C cars only. Please note that we do NOT accept cash payments or ELECTRONIC DEBIT CARDS.
Is your site secure?
Yes, our site uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) to protect the information you send and receive. When sites use a security protocol, the information you provide, such as your name or credit card number, is encrypted so that others cannot see it. All personal information you send and receive is encrypted.
Am I covered?
It is your responsibility to ensure adequate insurance cover for the vehicle, yourself, your passengers and your liability. Our rates include Civil Liability Insurance for personal injury or damage to persons or property outside the vehicle, Collision Insurance, Limitation of Potential Liability for Vehicle Damage and Theft Insurance, other coverages such as Super Cover or Personal insurance are offered as options (IP numbercheck at time of purchase). In some cases, you can pay in advance to limit your liability for overpayment.
What are optional extras?
Optional extras include child seats, additional drivers, fuel purchase options, insurance (including excess waiver). All this comes with a fee.
When do I pay for the extras?
Optional extras are paid on site at the box office. The "Freedom Pack" must be reserved at the time of booking.
What is your refueling policy?
In some places, Firefly supports:vol volstandard fuel policy. In this case, the vehicle is delivered with a full fuel tank, which customers must return with full fuel.

Firefly offers roadside assistance 24/7, 365 days a year. Details will be provided at time of rental.
Can I split payments between credit cards?
Sorry, no, you cannot split the cost between different cards.
Using someone else's credit card
Payment cards must be in the name of the renter. The renter's name must be engraved on the front of the card.
Do I have to go back to the same place?
Yes, one-way rentals are not allowed.
What happens if I am late for the pick up/drop off time?
In case the flight is delayed causing the car to break downwill be improvedoutside normal business hours, an additional fee will be charged locally where an after hours service is available. We are available if you have provided us with your flight number before 12 noontwo o'clockoutside normal business hours and cannot accept any other liability.
If you do not return the vehicle within the agreed timereturnor at a pick-up point on or before the vehicle return time specified on the rental contract, you will be charged an additional rental day for each day or half-day at the applicable daily rate, including fees for any selected option the car is overdue. This fee is subject to additional time (or "Grace period') z30 minutes.
I have not received a booking confirmation by email
Our systems are designed to automatically send a confirmation email shortly after booking. Depending on your email provider, it may take several hours for the email to reach your inbox. If you have not received a confirmation email from us, please check your spam folder first. If you still haven't received an email after 24 hours, please contact us with your booking details.
